Dear UCE Friend,

This past year, 2019, UCE proudly celebrated 15 years of ministry! UCE delivered 280 outreaches, supported 44 UCE Clubs and saw 26,297 youth sign chastity commitment cards within UCE’s programs in Uganda, Burundi, and Tanzania. Additionally, UCE spread its pro-life message on the radio waves, in follow-up counseling to students, in UCE Clubs, from the pulpit on UCE “Chastity Sunday” and taught faithfulness to married couples to strengthen marriages. UCE’s programs also continue to brighten the futures of disadvantaged youth and reduce teen pregnancies.

I invite each one of you to join us for our upcoming "Chastity Heals" event detailed below!

• Saturday, March 14, 2020 is a Lenten mission co-hosted by UCE and St Mary’s Help of Christians Church, with the event occurring at St Mary’s Help of Christians Church, 217 E. Mesa Avenue, Pueblo, CO 81006 (see picture below). It starts at 5:30pm with fellowship and a soup supper, followed by UCE co-founder, Dr. Kim Dernovsek, speaking on the topic "CHASTITY HEALS." She has addressed similar topics at the national meeting of the Catholic Medical Association, on EWTN, and on the popular Redeemer Radio show, "Doctor, Doctor". Expect to learn lots more about the virtue of chastity, understand why we all need to seek it, no matter our walk in life. An all-night prayer vigil will follow after the evening program and goes until 6AM Sunday March 15th. Call me at 719-248-8828 to sign up for one hour of prayer on site at the church. We look forward to 2020. Watch for the launch of a new UCE website very soon! We have begun scheduling our year and hope you will be able to participate in one or more of these events, so please SAVE these DATES:

• Saturday JUNE 27, 2020 Annual UCE BRAAI Fundraiser with BBQ and popular bluegrass band, FIREWEED, entertaining us cliffside at Dernovseks home.
• September 2020 in Uganda a group will travel to Uganda to witness UCE teams in action.

• January 2021 in Tanzania a group will travel to Tanzania to witness UCE teams in action.

Precise dates for the above UCE mission trips have not yet been set, but we will have our first organizational meeting in April. If you might want to join us, please contact me so I can give you more information.

Lastly, beginning with the 2019 tax year, the state of Colorado is offering a new program for Colorado state residents who will receive a Colorado state tax refund this year, 2020. The program, entitled “ReFUND Colorado” allows Colorado state residents who receive a state tax refund to directly donate part of their refund to a Colorado nonprofit of their choice. Please consider doing this for UCE if you receive a Colorado state tax refund. To do this for UCE, you must simply provide your tax preparer UCE’s designated number to receive donations through this program, 2008300696.
